We all know that beauty sleep does wonders for your look. When I was young, my mom always said beauty rest is very important, but I don't get it why sleep could make you look good. If you would like to get a beauty sleep, you need to make sure you get enough of it. People can always notice it in my face when I had trouble sleeping. I'm not sure just what exactly the problem is ,however you can definitely tell I've not been getting sufficient beauty sleep. I look fatigued and worn out, and even using make-up won't help you much. When you don't had enough rest, it will show. You can always notice when somebody did not have sufficient rest. Make sure you're having 7-8 hours sleep a night.

Another aspect in beauty rest is using a great mattress. If you are using an old, lumpy mattress, you are going to have a hard time resting well. This was my problem when I had sleep disorders. When i replaced the mattress to a new one, I rest much better. You are going to have a harder time to have a good night's rest if you are using a bed mattress which is too soft or too firm. You could also have a problem if your bed is too small. For example if you use a full size mattress when you are sleeping together with your wife/husband, both of you might be having difficulty getting enough beauty rest. You will need an adequate amount of room to spread out to obtain good, soothing sleep.

If have been using a good bed, and still can't figure out the reason you aren't having enough beauty sleep, you should think about your bed rooms environment. Your bed room must be for sleeping and for sleeping only. If you are looking at mess, or piles of work you have to do in the morning, you aren't going to rest well. Keep work out of your bed room, and also keep the clutter picked up. Furthermore, consider in case light as well as sound are interfering with your beauty sleep. Use a sleeping mask if required as well as use white sound device like cooling fan to get rid of the sound that is bugging you.

There is a lot of research that shows having adequate sleep and rest does indeed make you appear much healthier and more attractive. If you wish to appear healthy and appealing, it is far better to have a good night's sleep also it's a lot cheaper than other beauty treatments.

Here are a few points to help you get the rest :
- Workout regularly. Even 20 min's of walking can help keep stress hormones from interfering with your sleep at night.
- Avoid large meals just before bed time. An active digestive system can disrupt sleep.
- Do not read, watch television and / or work in bed. Use the bed only to sleep. This will help to prevent you from developing sleep disorders.
- Stay away from caffeine, nicotine or other stimulants within three hours of bedtime.
- Minimize light, disturbance and temperature extremes; your bedroom needs to be comfortably cool, about 68 degrees.
